FIELD: water treatment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to water treatment. Water aerator is a container with a side water inlet pipe, inside of which there is an air inlet pipe. Container is made in the form of an external pipe, wherein the internal air inlet pipe is coaxially installed therein, and the upper gap between the pipes is closed by the annular plug, wherein the length of the inner pipe is 2 to 5 of the inner diameter of the outer pipe, the cross-section of the gap between the pipes is selected so as to ensure a water velocity of 3 to 15 m/s, in addition, on the outer pipe the second annular plug is fixed, which closes the annular gap between the outer and additional pipe installed coaxially to the outer and inner pipes, wherein the inner diameter of the additional pipe is from 1.5 to 3.0 times the inner diameter of the outer pipe, in the additional pipe there are also side holes with a total area equal to the cross-section of the additional pipe, wherein lower edge of side holes is located at distance not lower than 0.5 of their diameter from lower edge of external water feed pipe.
