MULTIPARAMETER DEVICE FOR FUNCTIONAL DIAGNOSTICS OF RESPIRATORY SYSTEM Russian patent published in 2025 - IPC G01N21/35 A61B5/08

Abstract RU 2839640 C1

FIELD: measuring.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to measurement equipment and concerns a multiparameter device for functional diagnostics of lungs and respiratory system. Device comprises an IR emitter and an IR sensor installed in an optical cell on diametrically opposite sides, a set of sensors installed in front of the optical cell for evaluating the mechanical characteristics of the passing air flow and a microcontroller providing both direct and feedback communication with the optical cell and the set of sensors and configured to process and transmit information from the infrared sensor and the set of sensors in real time to the output device. Optical cell has a shape approximating to a round cylinder with a diameter of more than 1 centimetre, which is sufficient for reliable determination of the concentration of CO2 in exhaled air by infrared spectroscopy, and is configured so that the flow of inhaled and exhaled air can freely pass through it without significant aerodynamic resistance.

EFFECT: enabling determination and interpretation of changes in air composition during expiration or during the respiratory cycle in real time.
