FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, specifically to dentistry, and can be used in aesthetic dentistry when forming a crown of teeth in the area of smile. Modelling of patient's teeth shape taking into account psychological features of personality includes several stages. First stage involves the patient’s questionnaire survey to determine his/her psychotype and four personality temperament types (choleric, sanguine, melancholic, phlegmatic) which are used to determine a dental shape, symmetry and position of the teeth in the dental arch. Teeth shape in a choleric patient is defined as rectangular, with predominance of central and canine teeth over lateral incisors, with a flat cutting edge. Sanguine person’s teeth are shaped as triangular or trapezoidal with an inclined cutting edge. Melancholic teeth shape is defined as oval, with a curved cutting edge; phlegmatic patient’s teeth shape is described as rounded-square with a horizontal cutting edge. At the second stage, on the same visit, a photoprotocol is taken, consisting of a set of intraoral photographs - a frontal view of teeth in a bite, a frontal view of teeth open, frontal teeth with a contrast agent and outside the oral photographs - a portrait with a face and at rest. At the third stage, on the same visit, a direct Mock-UP with a packed composite without an adhesive protocol is prepared; the intraoral Mock-UP scanning and initial oral scanning are performed. At the fourth stage, Wax-UP modeled taking into account individual anatomical and psychological features is agreed with the patient and transferred into the oral cavity in the form of Mock-up, at the fifth and final stage, the Mock-up is replaced with ceramic restorations.

EFFECT: by determining the patient’s psychotype, the method enables simulating the shape of teeth taking into account not only the anatomical, but also the psychological characteristics of the patient's personality, providing the maximum aesthetic result in the area of the face.
