SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agriculture and can be used in soil treatment for accelerated decomposition of crop-root residues and green manure, increasing soil fertility and developing the plant root system and providing plant nutrients. Method of increasing fertility and deep treatment of soils of light mechanical composition is that during harvesting straw is ground and evenly scattered over field surface by combine harvester, in one pass, machine-tractor aggregate sequentially treats straw with aqueous solution of biopreparations-decomposers, if necessary, based on the presence of nitrogen in the soil, nitrogen mineral fertilizers are added, the fertilizers, straw and stubble and root residues are embedded into the soil, green manure crops are sown and crops are rolled, in 1.0-1.5 months after the green manure crop reaches its optimum vegetation mass, it is embedded into the soil. On light soils after growth of vegetative mass the green manure crop is embedded into the upper soil layer up to 10 cm, keeping it untouched, deep treatment of soil is carried out with a stubble cultivator for depth of 20-25 cm.

EFFECT: using the method will make it possible to increase soil fertility, will create favourable conditions for growth and development of plants, which will make it possible to increase crop capacity.
