FIELD: hygiene.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a device for knotting a thread end for removing tampons so that a loop is formed. Device 1 comprises knotting mechanism 3 for knotting two thread sections at thread end, as well as thread feeder 5 for feeding thread sections to knotting mechanism 3. Device further comprises orbital guide 4, along which thread feeder and knotting mechanism 3 are guided. Orbital guide has a knot knitting zone and a wrapping zone and is designed to direct the thread feeder at different speeds in the knot knitting zone and the wrapping zone.
EFFECT: present invention also relates to a method for knotting a thread end and to a device for making tampons having a proximal thread for retrieval.
