FIELD: ships and other floating facilities.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ship building, in particular to methods of testing ship hulls, and can be used to determine their strength and deformation characteristics during design. For testing ship hull models, performing the ship hull model installation on the bench and placing between the ship hull model and the bench base, as well as the walls of the loading facility bench, made in the form of containers from a flexible impermeable material with the possibility of supplying the working medium to them and measuring its internal pressure in each container. To simulate loads with variable intensity, several loading means are installed along the height of the ship hull model. Application of load to upper deck, lower decks and flooring of double bottom is performed by installation of support plate with a gap above model of ship hull, and above lower decks and flooring of second bottom – platforms.
EFFECT: expanding the possibilities for experimental study of the strength characteristics of ship hulls.
