FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to technologies of producing materials which, upon contact with active sludge microorganisms, can ensure their attachment (immobilisation) to their surface. Method of producing biomass carrier material for biological treatment of waste water involves mixing carbon-containing components and a synthetic polymer at temperature of 110-125 °C. Obtained mixture is cooled and winnowed. Carbon-containing components used are pyrolysis residues (PR) of oil-containing wastes (OCW). Synthetic polymer used is low-pressure polyethylene (LPP) wastes. Mass ratio of components OCW PR : LPP wastes is 1:1 ÷ 3:1.
EFFECT: simplification and reduction of the cost of the technology for obtaining biomass carrier material, allowing the secondary use of low-density polyethylene waste and residues from the pyrolysis of oil-containing waste.
