SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a method for increasing the inhibiting activity of ceftazidime with a complex of phenolic compounds, comprising isolating the complex of phenol compounds of a water-alcohol extract from Taraxacum by homogenising plant material, followed by purification with chloroform from alkaloid impurities; then obtained phenolic compounds are mixed with ceftazidime in concentrations: ceftazidime 0.0038 mg/l and phenolic compounds 1.406 mg/l with respect to Pseudomonas aeruginosa bacteria and ceftazidime 0.00006 mg/l and phenolic compounds 5.625 mg/l with respect to Staphylococcus aureus bacteria.

EFFECT: invention provides improved inhibiting characteristics of ceftazidime with respect to Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Staphylococcus aureus.
