SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a cigarette and an aerosol generating device. Aerosol generating device comprises a cigarette comprising a tobacco rod containing an aerosol generating material, a wrapper surrounding the tobacco rod, and a metal foil surrounding the tobacco core on the inner or outer side of the wrapper in a position corresponding to the tobacco core. Opposite ends of metal foil are in contact with each other in circumferential direction, forming a closed loop. Device also comprises a housing comprising an insertion space configured to receive a cigarette, and an inductance coil arranged around the insertion space and configured to heat the metal foil.

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to prevent discharge or sparking of the heating element, to prevent loss of current during heat generation, to increase accuracy of temperature control and to maintain taste or homogeneity of aerosol.
