FIELD: aerosol generating devices.
SUBSTANCE: proposed group of inventions relates to a device for generating an aerosol and a method of operating such a device. Aerosol generating device comprises housing comprising an introduction space configured to insert a stick for generating an aerosol, an accumulator, a display and a controller configured to calculate, based on the fact that the residual capacity of the accumulator is less than a predetermined capacity, the number of sticks corresponding to the residual capacity, and outputting the calculated number of sticks to the display.
EFFECT: informing the user on the residual capacity of the accumulator and the number of sticks available for use based on the residual capacity of the accumulator, as well as providing change in settings related to power consumption.
