FIELD: vehicles.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the control of the traction system of vehicles with electric traction. Electric rolling stock with asynchronous traction motors anti-skid protection method consists in definition of rolling stock speed setting. Setting for the sliding speed of the wheel pair is determined. Setting for the peripheral speed of the wheel pair is determined as the sum of rolling stock speed setting and that of wheel pair sliding speed. Current angular frequency of induction traction motor shaft rotation is measured. Engine shaft angular frequency is changed into wheel pair circumferential speed. Error between preset wheel pair peripheral speed and measured wheel pair peripheral speed is calculated. Calculated error is used to determine the setting moment according to the control laws of the proportional-integral controller. Output value of the proportional-integral controller is defined as a setting for the vector control system with pulse-width modulation.
