FIELD: control over traction system of vehicles with electric traction.

SUBSTANCE: method for protection against skidding of wheel pairs of electric rolling stock with asynchronous traction motors consists in the fact that the setting is determined by speed of movement of electric rolling stock, the current angular frequency of rotation of the shaft of the asynchronous traction motor is measured, the angular frequency of rotation of the motor shaft is converted to the circumferential speed of the wheel pair, error between preset speed and wheel pair peripheral speed is calculated. Based on the calculated error, the setting moment is determined according to the control laws of the proportional-integral controller. Calculating the value of the current bite point and limiting the lower limit of the setting moment value at the level of the value of the calculated current bite point, and the limited value of the setting moment is defined as the setting for the vector control system with pulse-width modulation.

EFFECT: improved traction properties of electric rolling stock.
