SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for preventing the wheels from stalling. The method for protection against stalling of wheelsets of electric rolling stock with asynchronous traction motors consists in measuring the active electrical power of the stator windings of asynchronous tractive motors, the ambient temperature, the horizontal position of the traction section, the shafts angular rotational speeds of traction motors and the linear speed of traction section. Determine the average angular rotation frequency of the shafts of asynchronous tractive motors, the current depth of stalling process and transmit it to an artificial neural network of direct propagation with a time delay equal to one second. An artificial neural network of direct propagation is trained according to algorithm of the error back propagation method. Then, from the output of the trained artificial neural network, the value of the predictive depth of stalling process is obtained and then the threshold power is determined. Determine the absolute difference in active electrical capacities, compare the obtained value and the value of threshold power. Then signals are generated about a decrease in the angular speed of excessively sliding wheelset.
EFFECT: invention increases traction properties of electric rolling stock.
