TARGET PEPTIDE AND METHOD OF USING THEREOF FOR EVALUATION OF INVASIVE POTENTIAL OF MALIGNANT NEOPLASMS Russian patent published in 2025 - IPC C07K7/08 C07K7/00 A61K38/10 G01N33/48

Abstract RU 2840318 C2

FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a peptide containing a sequence of amino acids TKDNNLLGRFELSGRGD capable of selectively accumulating in cells of malignant neoplasms and changing the straightness of movement tracks of highly invasive tumour cells, and also relates to a method for assessing the invasive potential of malignant neoplasms, characterized by that cells of the malignant neoplasm are divided into two groups: first group is treated with a peptide containing a sequence of amino acids TKDNNLLGRFELSGRGD, second group is treated with physiological saline, after which both groups are placed in a hardware-software complex for lifetime visualization and analysis of cell parameters, after which every 15 minutes for 24 hours performing microphotography of cells, then recording X and Y coordinates of movement tracks of cells of two groups by analysing time-lapse images, and the obtained sets of coordinates are used to calculate the straightness of the cell movement tracks as the ratio of the Euclidean distance to the path length by the following formulas:

,

where: S is the track straightness, D is the distance between the start and end points of the track, L is the track length, tl is the first track time index, tf is the last track time index, and then the straightness of the obtained tracks is compared: if the straightness of the cell movement tracks of the two groups is different, then a decision is made to classify the tested cells as highly invasive.

EFFECT: group of inventions provides a more accurate, simple and cheap method for assessing the invasive potential of malignant growths.
