FIELD: performing operations.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for producing rods from titanium and titanium-based alloys. Bar blank is hot rolled to bar, bar is subjected to rough centreless turning to remove off-grade surface ply, bar is calibrated or cold drawn and calibrated. Bar is cut to lengths, bar is straightened at straightening temperature of 600-900 °C by stretching method with elongation of not more than 1%. Bar is cooled under tension to straightness of bar of less than 1 mm/m and finish centreless turning of bar surface is performed. Bar calibration is carried out with relative deformation of not more than 18% by drawing through die plate with drawing speed of not more than 2 m/min or by forging on rotary forging machine with displacement speed of not more than 2 m/min.
EFFECT: bars are made from titanium and alloys on its basis with diameter from 5 to 15 mm with required dimensional accuracy.
