SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a self-propelled device. Self-propelled device includes: first image acquiring device (20), second image acquiring device (30) and controller; device for obtaining first image (20) includes a transmitting unit for transmitting an infrared signal and a first sensor for receiving a first image formed after reflection of the infrared signal by a target object; based on the first image, determining distance information to the target object; device for obtaining second image (30) includes a second sensor, which receives a second image formed after reflection of visible light from a target object, and determines the type of target object from the second image; controller controls the operation of the self-propelled device using at least either the obtained distance information or the type information.
EFFECT: invention enables to accurately determine whether an obstacle should be bypassed on a cleaning route, which leads to the fact that cleaning is carried out where it should, or there is no collision with an obstacle.
