FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, namely it is intended for production of anode mass for aluminium electrolytic cells on the basis of coal-tar pitch or binding agent from oil stock, and may find application in electrode industry. Method includes crushing, classifying and grinding coke of petroleum origin, mixing coke charge and oil or coal binder, wherein mixing of coke charge with binder is performed at 191-200 °C, with following ratio of granulometric composition of coke charge, wt.%: size fraction (-12.5+4.75) – 12-16, size fraction (-4.75+1.18) – 22-26, screenings (-1.18+0.212) – 15-19, dust (-0.212+0) – 43-47.
EFFECT: possibility to expand raw material base for production of anode mass, and also to reduce amount of hazardous emissions at aluminium production without reduction of anode mass quality.
