SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a method for quantitative assessment of lytic activity of bacteriophages, comprising preparing a bacterial suspension of a daily culture of a microorganism in meat-peptone broth in concentration of 105 CFU/ml, compound of obtained mixture with specific bacteriophage in ratio as 2:1, evaluation of lytic activity of bacteriophages is carried out by value of optical density, wherein optical density is fixed at the beginning of the study and after 6 hours, and when determining the ratio of these indicators within the range of more than or equal to 10, the bacteriophage is assessed as lytic, when determining the ratio of these parameters in range of 5 to less than 10, the bacteriophage is assessed as weakly lytic, if the value is less than 5, the absence of lytic activity is determined.

EFFECT: invention widens the range of methods for determining lytic activity of bacteriophages.
