FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to zeolite-containing materials and use thereof as catalysts. Disclosed is a catalyst for dehydrogenation of propane based on modified by platinum, tin and sodium aluminosilicate zeolite of MFI structure with molar ratio SiO2/Al2O3 from 50 to 280, containing 0.1-0.5% platinum, 0.05-1.0% tin. Modification by metals is performed in three stages: first, impregnating the zeolite with an aqueous solution of tin salts and excess sodium chloride, washing excess sodium chloride with water, and then impregnating the zeolite with an aqueous solution of platinum salts, wherein after each step obtained zeolite is calcined at 500-600 °C. Disclosed is a method for dehydrogenation of propane using said catalyst.

EFFECT: novel zeolite catalyst having high output and high stability during propane dehydrogenation, and a technological propane dehydrogenation method.
