FIELD: powder metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to powder metallurgy, particularly, to production of billets from ceramic-metal composite materials by self-propagating high-temperature synthesis (SHS) with subsequent spontaneous impregnation. Initial powders of titanium, soot, graphite, silicon and aluminium are mixed in dosage with accuracy of 0.1 g in ball mill for 1 hour at ratio of balls and initial elementary powders 3:1. Refractory ceramic porous frame is formed by self-propagating high-temperature synthesis in combustion mode with simultaneous spontaneous infiltration of metal melt into porous ceramics. To obtain molten metal, thermit mixture containing powder reagents CuO and Al is used. Spontaneous infiltration is carried out in a two-chamber reactor. Said thermit mixture is placed in the reactor top chamber and a mixture of initial powders in bulk or compacted form is placed in the bottom chamber of the reactor and a combustion reaction of the thermite mixture is initiated.

EFFECT: improved tribotechnical and mechanical properties.
