FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medical equipment, namely to a device for fixation of bone fragments of extremities. In the device, a cloth of cotton gauze with width of 200 mm and length of 450 mm contains a sewn cotton-gauze hygroscopic layer with thickness of 10 to 15 mm on the front surface over the entire tissue area, which is made with the possibility of covering the wound surface. On the back surface from the beginning to the end of the cloth there are wooden sticks of oval shape uniformly laid and sewn with the following dimensions: length – 200 mm, width – up to 10 mm and height 5 mm with a distance of sticks of 10 mm, made with possibility of fixation of bone fragments in the correct anatomical relationship. Placement of the sticks is completed with a medical bandage for dressing up to 120 mm wide.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of preliminary restoration of anatomical relationships of bone fragments.
