FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to polymer composite materials for tribotechnical purposes. Proposed friction composite material contains the following components in wt.%: 6-17 of ground fibrous filler, 6-18 of friction modifier and the rest is polytetrafluoroethylene, wherein crushed fibrous filler is basalt fibre or a mixture of basalt and carbon fibre in a weight ratio not exceeding 1:1, surface-modified with bismaleimide in a weight ratio of 1:(0.7-1.0), friction modifier represents the mix of siliconized carbonyl iron and elementary graphite at ratio of 1:(0.2-1.0).
EFFECT: increased coefficient of friction, reduced creep of material under load, reduced difference between coefficients of static and dynamic friction.
