FIELD: polymer materials.
SUBSTANCE: friction material composition relates to the area of creating novel composites with polymer matrix. Composition is destined for use in oil-cooled arrangements of mobile machines and process equipment. Composition contains synthetic rubber, curing group, phenol-formaldehyde resin, layered silicate, polysulfone fiber, and dispersed fillers in the form of oxides and sulfates of metals selected from barium, zinc, titanium, copper, iron, magnesium, and calcium.
EFFECT: increased wear resistance and coefficient of friction of friction material in an oil medium, and stabilized coefficient of friction in transition processes.
