FIELD: chemical industry; petrochemical industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to chemical and petrochemical industry and specifically to methods of producing a catalyst for dehydrogenating cyclohexanol to cyclohexanone. Described is a method of producing a catalyst for the dehydrogenation of cyclohexanol to cyclohexanone by applying an active component – copper in the form of a hydroxocarbonate from an aqueous solution of a copper-ammonia-carbonate complex, to a mixed oxide support consisting of a mixture of white soot and boehmite, heat treatment and pelleting moulding, wherein catalyst-reinforcing additive promoting uniform distribution of active component in catalyst used is a product of hydrolysis of liquid sodium glass with carboxylic acid, wherein ratio of silicon in liquid sodium glass hydrolysis product and white soot makes 1:(12-14).
EFFECT: method of producing a catalyst with high strength with uniform distribution of the active component and while maintaining activity and selectivity during dehydrogenation of cyclohexanol to cyclohexanone.
