FIELD: medical science.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to a method for heart rate extraction from ECG or PPG signals. ECG or PPG signal is recorded. Continuous wavelet transformation is carried out. Instantaneous and integral distribution of energy of the wavelet spectrum on time scales corresponding to given frequency ranges for patterns is determined. Skeletons are selected on time scales on a frequency-time surface of instantaneous energies of continuous wavelet transformation (CWT). Continuous development of maximum oscillatory components in the time window is assessed. Local maxima are determined on the CWT of the frequency-time surface of the ECG or PPG signal scan and the corresponding frequencies are selected. Local maxima of the surface are determined for the next moment in time and the corresponding frequencies are selected. Each frequency from the first set is compared to frequencies from the second set. For each processed signal, an array of patterns is formed and a curve of dependence on time and frequency, which is a heart rate frequency, is formed.
EFFECT: achieving automatic diagnosis of heart rate and pulse rate from ECG/PPG signals, where ECG and PPG recording become interchangeable, which enables to select the type of the recorded signal depending on the convenient location of the recording point.
