FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to investigation and analysis of materials using acoustic emission and can be used for acoustic emission control of vessels at cryogenic temperatures. Essence of the invention is that installing the acoustic emission converters on the pipelines extending from the vessels using waveguides, loading the vessels with the test pressure, controlling the acoustic emission signals parameters according to the acoustic emission sources hazard classification selected criterion, wherein the waveguides are made of polymethyl methacrylate with thickness of 14 mm, which enables to use reception of signals by acoustic emission converters in the range of their operating temperatures at cryogenic temperature of the working medium of the object and tests.
EFFECT: reduced attenuation and distortion of an acoustic signal during acoustic emission control of vessels at cryogenic temperatures.
