FIELD: marine seismic survey. SUBSTANCE: pneumatic seismic signal has a start-up electromagnetic pneumatic valve and serially-coupled housing 2, 3, control chambers with exhaust windows 4, 5 between which elastic membranes 7, 8 with by-pass devices in the center are interposed. The control chamber of the latter source is conjugated with the housing of a working pneumatic chamber. There is spring-loaded piezoelectric pusher 23 coaxial with armature 19 of electromagnet in the housing of pneumatic valve. Piezoelectric pusher 23 is coupled with electric circuit through a voltage amplifier and its other end rests against armature of electric magnet. When a driving pulse is applied, the piezoelectric pusher practically instantaneously is enlarged in length and rejects a ball opening channel 20, the source being started up. EFFECT: enhanced seismic efficiency due to stability of operation. 1 dwg
