SUBSTANCE: pneumatic source has housing 1, solenoid-operated air valve 2, hollow piston 6 with end face holes, wall openings 18, outer and inner annular projections 20 and 23 positioned in opposite end faces, high pressure chamber 28, control chamber 26, acceleration chamber 30, hollow rod 4 with guide piston 5 provided with annular shoulder 17. High pressure chamber includes basic volume and starting volume 29 the latter being connected with acceleration chamber 30 through channels 13, 25, 31. Diameter of upper end face hole in hollow piston 6 is equal to its inner diameter. EFFECT: improved effectiveness of seismic signal generation and enhanced efficiency. 1 dwg
