FIELD: concentration of mineral resources. SUBSTANCE: method involves feeding basic pulp to charging end 4 of chute 6; switching on vibratory drive, with vibrations being transmitted through platform 3 to chute 6. As a result vibrational oscillations are transmitted to pulp, flowing down along chute 6, in horizontal plane, with frequency of 15-16 sec-1 and amplitude of 0.9-1.1 mm. Ratio of time of oscillation pulse in the direction of flowing of pulp and in reverse direction is within the range of 2.5-1 - 3.2:1, which facilitates pulp segregation and flowing in down direction. Apparatus has frame for mounting platform 3, vibratory drive 2 and discharge chute 6 disposed at an acute angle with respect to horizontal plane and serving as separating member. Chute 6 is narrowed from charging end 4 to discharge end 5. Dividers 7 are pivotally secured in side walls of chute 6. Perforated water supply pipes 10 are mounted in front of dividers 7 at the side adjacent to charging end 4 of chute 6 for movement in vertical plane. Partially segregated pulp is delivered to first divider 7 proximate to loosening zone. Heavy fraction precipitates and light fraction, which is in suspended state, flows over divider 7 to be delivered to following divider 7. Upon termination of concentration process, dividers 7 are pivotally turned and concentrate is washed out into vessel. EFFECT: increased concentration extent and efficient withdrawal of diamonds as well as high capacity and speed of concentration of diamond-bearing ores. 3 cl, 3 dwg
