FIELD: sea geophysics. SUBSTANCE: pneumatic source has electric pneumatic valve 1, case 4, which has windows 12, stepped channel 5 and shuttle disposed in the channel, movable cylinder 13 and spaces for equalizing pressure: working space 11, control space 17, speed-up space 19, which are connected together and with high pressure tank by channels 20-23. When current pulse is applied to electric pneumatic valve 1, armature of electromagnet 2 moves apart from neck of start channel 9. Air is supplied to speed-up chamber 19 along channels 20 and pushes movable cylinder 13 up; windows 12 are opened as a result. In this case compressed air from working chamber doesn't enter speed-up chamber 19. EFFECT: excluded drops in pressure in working chamber; improved seismic efficiency. 1 dwg
