FIELD: seismic prospecting. SUBSTANCE: pneumatic source of seismic signals includes case 1 electric pneumatic valve, nozzle 17 with radial exhaust windows 2, shut-off unit manufactured in the form of rod and upper 11 and lower 12 pistons, auxiliary chamber 18, central window overlapped by lower piston 12. Auxiliary chamber 18 is connected by calibrated duct 26 with chambers 16, 13, 14 filled with compressed air. Step bushing 8 is placed inside case 1. Step rod is coupled with step 10 of large diameter to step bushing 8 forming controlling chamber 14. Due to presence of low pressure in auxiliary chamber 18 and flow of compressed air from chamber 14 to chamber 13 velocity of movement of shut-off unit increases and second rate of flow of compressed air enhances which makes it possible to raise power of seismic signal. EFFECT: raised power of seismic radiation due to increase of velocity of opening of exhaust window and enhanced flow rate of compressed air with exhaust. 2 cl, 2 dwg
