FIELD: equipment for nuclear power reactors. SUBSTANCE: nuclear reactor control mechanism has electric motor, actuating element connected to control element by means of rod 16 of grip 9 made of transformation-induced plasticity material engageable through lugs 18 and 19. Actuating element 6 is positioned at the bottom in 0 stop (damper). Rod 16 made of transformation-induced plasticity material varies its length under the effect of martensitic temperature transformation; at temperature below forward martensitic transformation point length of rod 16 is greater than its length at temperature exceeding reverse martensitic transformation point. At temperature higher than forward martensitic point clearance σ is formed between engaging lugs 18, 19 of rod 16 grip 9; difference in rod length at mentioned temperatures is greater than clearance and the latter, in its turn, is larger than axial displacement of rod required for engaging actuating and control elements. Grip 9 has balls 12 engageable with lug 13 and drilling 14 of gripping part 15 of control element. Probable displacement of grip up to stop by actuating element depends on value d3. EFFECT: improved reliability of reactor core due to elimination of transient loads on its structural components in case of emergency tripping of control element. 5 dwg
