FIELD: mechanical engineering, in particular, robot systems for search for mines and dangerously explosive objects concealed in ground. SUBSTANCE: mobile carrier has transducers of indication of covered distance and measurement of the trim angle and angle of bank of the vehicle, control unit equipped with a computer and drives and transducers determining its position relative to the vehicle and shock absorbers and transducers of collision with an obstacle, articulated suspension with the search equipment fastened on it, representing a line of sounding radars of surface layers of ground positioned above the ground. The method for carrier control consists in the initial setting of gaps between the search equipment and the ground, maintaining of their values within the preset limits during movement of the vehicle by action on the suspension drives, and stoppage of the carrier at a collision with an obstacle, and according to the results of processing of the transducer indications in the computer.
