FIELD: testing equipment. SUBSTANCE: circulation of gas atmosphere is created in accumulation chamber with tested article placed into it. Portion of testing gas is injected into accumulation chamber. Time of formation of uniform concentration of testing gas in accumulation chamber is found. Then circulation of gas atmosphere in accumulation chamber is periodically stopped and restored. Concentration of testing gas with circulation of gas atmosphere in accumulation chamber is measured. Intensity of transfer of testing gas in it is evaluated with allowance for gas exchange between accumulation chamber and environment. EFFECT: increased accuracy of test of system testing tightness by taking account of influence of gas exchange between accumulation chamber and environment on transfer of testing gas.
