FIELD: catalysts in industrial organic synthesis. SUBSTANCE: catalyst consists of carrier (activated carbon) with 3.4-5.2 wt % of active ingredient which is intermetallide of formula Pd4Te3W2. Catalyst increases selectivity of process by a factor of 6 (from 16 to 99.0-99.6%), prevailing isomer being 1,4-diacetoxybut- 2-ene produced with yield up to 95%.
