FIELD: petrochemical syntheses. SUBSTANCE: catalyst contains, applied on activated carbon, 3.8-5 wt % of intermetallide of formula Rh2TeM wherein M is thallium, germanium, or gallium. Conversion of 1,3-butadiene in its acetoxylation process carried out at 70-90 C and pressure 70-100 atm in presence of such catalyst is raised from 22.5 to 99%, yield of diacetoxybut-2-ene increasing from 20 to 63.0-64.5%.
