FIELD: chemical engineering. SUBSTANCE: acetoxylation of 1,3-cyclopentadiene is carried out in acetic acid in the presence of an intermetallic catalyst of the formula Pd2Te applied to activated carbon in an amount of 2.5-3.5% by weight, and a carrier, the balance. The process is carried out at 80-85 C and at a pressure of 8.5-9.0 MPa with sodium chloride added to the starting material in an amount of 0.01-0.2% by weight of the catalyst. The yield is 87-89%. EFFECT: greater efficiency of the process. 2 cl
