FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: the synthesis is carried out by reacting p-oxycinnamic acid and α-bromocaproic acid in the presence of sodium hydroxy on heating. The field 80%, mp 190-191 C, the empirical formula C15H18O5. As compared with the activity of 4-carboxymethylenoxycinnamic acid and papaverine hydrochloride, the hypotensive activity of the new compound (after 60 min) is higher by 1.7 and 2.6 times. The toxicity LD50>3000 mg/kg is similar to the toxicity of the structural analogue, but less than LD50 of papaverine hydrochloride (500 mg/kg).
