FIELD: land seismic sources. SUBSTANCE: electric spark land seismic source has discharge chamber 4 filled with liquid. Discharge chamber 4 is made with opened bottom and located with vessel 6 connected with chamber and containing liquid with tube 1 opened from below and movably connected with discharge chamber 4 communicated with vessel 6 with the aid of channel 8 in which controlled valve 9 is accommodated. Formed between tube 1 and ground, when tube is pressed into ground, is air gap 3 which excludes dissipation of enrgy through wall of tube. Moistening of ground in tube 1 facilitates conditions of transmission of seismic signal and its directivity. EFFECT: higher seismic efficiency due to improved conditions of signal transmission to ground and increased efficiency due to provision of air damper between tube and ground. 2 cl, 1 dwg
