FIELD: metallurgy; stripping of slags, for example copper-zinc slags. SUBSTANCE: slag processing unit makes it possible to recover 75 to 85 percent of zinc at its continuous operation and enhances stability. Unit is provided with furnace having shaft with port, partition, hearth, heating-draught devices mounted on longitudinal walls of shaft and bypass bottom gates located at end walls; continuous partition is located along central axis of shaft and bottom gates; hearth smoothly changes to partition at rounding radius of 0.25 to 0.5 of furnace width; heating- draught devices are arranged at pitch equal to (13-24) diameters of outlet hole of these devices. EFFECT: high degree of recovery of non-ferrous metals and enhanced resistance of unit. 3 dwg, 2 tbl
