FIELD: microbiological industry. SUBSTANCE: the culture medium comprises 0.3-0.5 g sodium chloride; 110-170 g enzymic hydrolyzate of cattle fetuses; and up to 1 l distilled water. The hydrolyzate is prepared from cow's fetuses by means of pancreas enzymes. The resultant hydrolyzate comprises 11.4 g/l total nitrogen, 7.6 g/l amine nitrogen and all amino acids. The culture medium may be used for the surface cultivation of microorganisms by adding agar-agar to said composition in an amount of 15-20 g/l water.
