FIELD: welding materials. SUBSTANCE: use of hard alloy particles (carbides, borides, nitrides, etc. ) produced by interaction of initial components under conditions of self-spreading high temperature synthesis with subsequent deformation at pressure of at least 55 kg/sq. cm with deformation rate of at least 2 mm/s and crushing to preset granulation, results in higher wear resistance. EFFECT: higher wear resistance, uniformity in distribution of hard alloy particles and reduction of their degree of dispersion with simultaneous increase of factor of transition of particles from electrode coating and ceramic flux into built up metal. 4 tbl
