FIELD: ferrous metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: heating of slag-forming materials is additionally exercised by torch guniting in converter with following pig-iron pouring. Method allows to decrease hydrogen share in steel by 43 %, to increase steel production by 0.7 %, to decrease consumption of pig-iron by 58 kg/t with simultaneous increase of lining durability. EFFECT: decrease of hydrogen concentration and increase of lining durability. 1 tbl
