FIELD: liquid mixers; chemical, petrochemical, food-processing, wood- pulp and paper and other industries. SUBSTANCE: mixer has housing with cavitators mounted inside it. Cavitators are made in form of blades with wedge- shaped section and sharp leading edge. Blades are mounted for reciprocating; they are provided with cover plates of wedge-shaped form with sharp leading edges. Rear parts of cover plates are connected with drive which ensures their lateral motion relative to blades. Drive is made in form of rod with helical threads on its outer surface; threads are engageable with bushes connected with cover plates. Helical threads have opposite direction. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of mixing. 3 cl, 2 dwg
