FIELD: forging. SUBSTANCE: method involves using large-sized die with lower and upper plates; obtaining billets for manufacturing dies by disintegrating upper and lower plates of worn large-sized die in vertical planes, with worn die size in vertical plane reaching critical value; engraving new die groove on die surfaces, which had been previously supporting surfaces; using small and non-multiple parts obtained in the process of cutting worn die for manufacturing punches, inserts and other working members of molding equipment. EFFECT: increased economy of process by increased efficiency of usage die steel. 4 dwg
