FIELD: manufacture of building materials. SUBSTANCE: material from thermal preparation zone 3 is fed to roasting zone 4 through bypass device 5; gas is fed through burners 11 whose section is sunken in housing to a depth of 0.9 to 1.1 of the diameter of the burner opening. After heat treatment, material is supplied to finished product cooler. Flue gases for roasting zone 4 are directed to cyclone 7 where they are diluted with cold air and excessive gas is discharged to dust-and-gas cleaning system 8 through bypass 13.
