FIELD: metallurgical equipment; particular device for transmission of rotary motion to rolls of rolling mills. SUBSTANCE: the joint has holder with coupling and joint part. Holder joint part accommodates bushing whose cylindrical recesses accommodate barrel-shaped rollers. Diametrically opposite recesses of holder coupling accommodate changeable strips through which working torque is transmitted to paddle-shaped shank of working roll. The specific feature of the design consists in that recesses of the holder and bushing are located by groups. In this case, the spacing between the longitudinal axes of each group are similar, and spacing between the neighboring groups exceeds that inside the groups. Each group has symmetry axis coinciding with one of symmetry axis of the coupling cross-section. Radial straight lines running through tops of coupling rectangular recesses divide the distance between extreme recesses of neighboring groups into two parts with parts ratio within 1.15-2.0. This makes it possible to withdraw the zones of stress concentration in joint part of holder and coupling from each other so as to exclude their negative mutual effect without complication of the joint design. EFFECT: higher reliability and bearing capacity. 7 dwg
