FIELD: seismic prospecting. SUBSTANCE: source of seismic signals has lifting screen with control planes 2, vibration exciters 3 in the form of hollow cylinders, pneumatic radiators 4 inside them. The whole structure is enveloped with frame 6 to which towing cable and float 8 are attached through restoring member. Before initiation of radiation source is lowered to floor with simultaneous charging of pneumatic radiators 4 and capping of hollow cylinders with water. Then compressed air is emitted from pneumatic radiators 4, water is driven simultaneously from hollow cylinders 3 and with recoil force control planes 2 are sunk into soil up to touching of floor with lifting screen 1. After this pneumatic radiators 4 are recharged, hollow cylinders 3 are capped with water and longitudinal and lateral waves are excited by successive blowout of water from hollow cylinders 3 installed at acute angle to screen 1. Time interval between blowouts of water from first and second cylinders 3 is set sufficient to receive and register formed vibration. Selection of longitudinal and lateral waves is accomplished in processing. EFFECT: enhanced seismic efficiency of work on floor of water reservoir by decrease of energy losses and by increase of intensity of lateral waves. 3 cl, 2 dwg
