FIELD: blasting operations. SUBSTANCE: method for loosening rocks by blasting includes driving of upper and lower approach openings and then, vertical charge opening communicated with them, with shrinkage of rocks loosened during driving. Vertical opening is charge with ammonium nitrate with simultaneous letting out of loosened piled rock and sprayed with diesel fuel. Live primers are installed and charge is blasted. To make ammonium nitrate-diesel fuel compound stable, introduced into ammonium nitrate is chemically neutral porous material, e.g. perlite. To improve blast reliability in inundated rocks, ammonium nitrate is placed in vertical opening in water-proof container. EFFECT: reduced expenditures and time for preparation of blast, uniform distribution of diesel fuel on ammonium nitrate and higher reliability of blast in inundated rocks. 3 cl, 2 dwg
