FIELD: mining and blasting operations.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to determine the optimal parameters of drilling and blasting operations when driving mine workings and clearing blasting at a mining enterprise. The method for determining detonation damping is characterized by charging an explosive into a shell, detonating and determining the value of the completeness of charge initiation. An explosive charge is charged into a borehole made in a monolithic block, and the value of the charge initiation completeness is determined by the distance at which the detonation pulse from the charge was transmitted to witnesses, made in the form of cords detonating from the charge detonation pulse, laid to the charge through the channels made, at least in one of the block walls. Each channel is assigned an individual designation.
EFFECT: reduced labor intensity and simplified determination of the detonation damping distance and optimal design parameters of the explosive charge required for drilling and blasting operations during excavation and clearing.
